Harbourline Capital
FAQ

Questions, answered.

The things founders, CFOs and fund managers most often ask us. If your question isn't here, ask it through the contact page.

What does Harbourline Capital do?

Harbourline Capital is a private capital firm. We provide growth equity, private credit, fund investments and GP financing to mid-market companies and private equity managers across Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific.

What size companies do you invest in?

Our sweet spot is established companies with EBITDA between A$2 million and A$25 million. Equity tickets range from A$5m to A$30m and credit facilities from A$5m to A$60m.

Do you take control of the businesses you back?

No. Our growth equity strategy takes minority stakes, typically 20 to 49 percent. Founders and management keep control while we contribute capital, governance support and networks at board level.

How is your private credit different from a bank loan?

We structure the facility around the company's plan rather than a standard product: amortising and bullet tranches can be combined, delayed-draw lines added for acquisitions, and covenants set against management's own forecasts. One counterparty, one decision-making team.

How long does an investment decision take?

An initial view within days of a first meeting. Credit facilities typically complete in four to eight weeks; equity investments in eight to twelve weeks depending on due diligence.

Who can invest in your funds?

Our funds are open to wholesale clients only, as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) - typically family offices, foundations, institutions and qualifying high-net-worth investors. Nothing on this website is an offer to retail investors.

Which regions do you cover?

We invest across Australia and New Zealand and selectively into developed South-East Asia, from offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore.

What does your investment process look like?

A confidential first conversation, a short indicative-terms letter if there is a fit, focused due diligence with one deal team end to end, then documentation and funding. We aim to be clear about our appetite at every step.

Do you invest in startups?

No. We back established, profitable businesses with proven models. Pre-revenue and early-stage venture opportunities sit outside our mandate.

How do I start a conversation?
