AIEIO PDF is operated by AIEIO (aieio.au). This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your files and information when you use the tools at aieio.au/pdf.
Your files
In-browser tools (Merge, Split, Extract, Organise, Rotate, Page numbers, Watermark, Sign, Edit metadata, PDF to JPG, JPG to PDF, PDF to HTML, HTML page builder). These run entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your file is read into your device’s memory, processed there, and offered back to you as a download. It is never sent to us or anyone else. We could not see it if we wanted to.
Server tools (Compress, Protect, Unlock). These three require processing that must happen on a server. When you use them, your file is uploaded over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a temporary folder, processed, streamed back to you, and deleted immediately afterwards. We do not store it, back it up, read it, or log its contents. A short-lived janitor also removes anything left behind by an interrupted request within one hour.
We never sell, share, or analyse the contents of any document you process.
Passwords
Passwords you enter for Protect or Unlock are used only to run that single operation and are discarded with the temporary files. They are never stored.
The contact form
If you send us a message via the contact form, we receive the name, email and message you provide, plus your IP address and browser type for spam prevention. We use this only to reply to you and keep the form working, we keep it only as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and we do not add you to any marketing list.
Analytics and cookies
The tools work without accounts. We store a single preference in your browser’s local storage - your light/dark theme choice - which never leaves your device. There are no third-party tracking cookies or advertising trackers on the tool pages.
Third-party libraries
The app uses open-source libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, JSZip) served from our own domain - not from third-party content networks - so no data about you is shared with an outside provider as the page loads.
Your rights
Because we do not keep your documents or create accounts, there is normally nothing personal for us to hold. If you contacted us and want that message deleted, ask via the contact form and we will remove it.
