Stems are the separate layers of a finished track - vocals, drums, bass and so on - as individual audio files. AIEIO Music can split any song you make into stems so you can rebalance or reuse its parts.
Two options
- Vocals + instrumental - two files. Costs half the track length in credits (a 2-minute song = 60 credits).
- 6 stems - vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and everything else. Costs the full track length in credits.
See pricing for how credits work.
What people use them for
- Karaoke and instrumental versions - mute the vocals for a sing-along or a background bed.
- Podcast and video beds - drop the drums and vocals so the music sits under speech without fighting it.
- Remixes - take the vocal and build a new beat around it in your DAW.
- Clean edits - turn down a loud instrument or lift the vocal without regenerating the whole song.
Try it before you download
On a track page, the stem mixer plays all stems together with mute and solo buttons, so you can hear exactly what each layer contains. Download individual stems, or the ZIP to drop into a project - every stem starts at zero, so they line up when placed at the same point.
Good to know
Stems are separated from the finished mix by an AI model, so you may hear small artefacts, especially on soloed parts. They usually disappear once stems are mixed back together. Separation works best on tracks with clear, distinct instruments.
Make a song first in the studio, then choose Split stems on its page. Back to writing a great prompt.
