Using AI music on YouTube, TikTok and podcasts: what is allowed

Published 1 October 2026 - 6 min read

This guide explains how tracks made with AIEIO Music can be used. It is a plain-language summary of our licence and content policy and terms, not legal advice.

What is covered

You can use your tracks in personal and commercial projects online and offline, including:

  • YouTube videos, Shorts, TikTok, Reels and live streams, including monetised channels
  • podcasts, audiobooks you publish yourself and radio-style shows
  • social media and online advertising for your own business or clients
  • presentations, events, in-store and on-hold music
  • apps and games from independent developers

What is not covered

  • Film, television and large studio game projects. These need an enterprise licence from the model provider that our service does not include.
  • Some sectors entirely: firearms or weapons, tobacco, prescription pharmaceuticals or controlled substances, adult entertainment, religious organisations, and political advocacy, campaigning or electoral work.
  • Imitation. You cannot present a track as the work of a real artist or use it to mimic a real singer.

Do not register tracks with Content ID

AI models can return similar results to different people. If you register a track with YouTube Content ID or a similar fingerprinting service, it could flag other creators who legitimately made something close to it. Our terms therefore do not allow registering tracks with content identification systems.

If you receive a claim

Open the track in your library and choose Licence certificate. The certificate names you as the licensee, shows the track ID and creation date, and has a public verification link anyone can open. Include that link in the platform's dispute form, explaining that the music was generated for you with AIEIO Music. If you need help, contact us through the support form.

Labelling AI content

Songs and video scores made here carry C2PA content credentials, an open standard that identifies media as AI-generated. Several platforms ask creators to label synthetic or AI-generated content in some situations; check each platform's current rules when you upload.

Credit is optional

You do not have to credit AIEIO Music, but "Music made with AIEIO Music" in a description is always appreciated.
