Licence and content policy
Effective 1 October 2026
This page explains how you may use what you make with AIEIO Music and what you may not ask it to make. It forms part of our terms of service.
Using your tracks
While you follow these terms, you may use the tracks, sound effects, stems and scored videos you generate for personal and commercial purposes, online and offline. That includes online videos and Shorts, social media, podcasts, live streams, online and social advertising, presentations and events, in-store and on-hold music, and apps and games from independent developers. You may edit, cut, loop and remix them. Credit is appreciated but not required.
Client work
You may make tracks for clients - for example as a video editor, agency, podcast producer or app developer - and deliver them as part of that work. The client may use a delivered track in the project it was made for, under these same terms. The licence stays with your account, so keep the track in your library (deleting it ends the certificate) and add the client or project in the certificate's "Prepared for" field.
Streaming services
Releasing a track on music streaming services through a distributor counts as online use. Do not opt it into Content ID or any similar claiming service your distributor offers, and follow your distributor's rules for AI-generated music. Because results are not exclusive, you cannot stop others releasing similar tracks.
Not covered
- Film, television and large studio game productions. These require an enterprise licence from our model provider, which the service does not include.
- Content identification systems. Do not register tracks with YouTube Content ID or similar fingerprinting or claiming services. AI output is not unique, so registration can wrongly flag other people's work.
- Exclusivity. Results may be similar or identical to results generated for other users, and you have no rights in other users' results.
- Restricted sectors. You may not use the service, or tracks made with it, for or on behalf of organisations working in: firearms or weapons manufacturing or distribution; tobacco products; prescription pharmaceuticals or controlled substances; adult entertainment or pornography; religious organisations or institutions; or political advocacy, campaigning or electoral services.
What you may not enter
- the real or stage name of any recording artist, band or songwriter
- the title of any existing song or album
- requests to replicate or mimic the voice, likeness or identifiable style of a recording artist
- lyrics, melodies or recordings you do not own or have permission to use
- videos you do not have the right to use
What you may not make
- content that promotes violence, hatred or discrimination, or harasses or threatens anyone
- sexual content involving minors, or content that glorifies sexual violence
- content that impersonates a real person, or misleads people into thinking a real artist made it
- defamatory, fraudulent or otherwise illegal content, or content that infringes anyone's rights
The music engine declines many of these requests automatically and refunds the credits. Repeatedly trying to get around these rules can lead to account suspension.
AI disclosure
Everything made here is generated by AI. Songs, stems and video scores also carry C2PA content credentials identifying them as AI-generated. Do not remove that information to mislead people, and follow the labelling rules of the platforms you publish on.
Licence certificates
Every finished track has a printable licence certificate showing the licensee, track ID, creation date, a SHA-256 fingerprint of the delivered MP3 and the version of this policy it was issued under, with a public link anyone can use to verify it. You can add the client or project it was prepared for. A certificate stops being valid if the track is deleted or hidden by our moderators.
Reporting
Every shared track page has a Report link. You can also contact us through the support form. We review reports and may disable share links, remove tracks or suspend accounts.
Not legal advice
This page summarises your permissions in plain language. It is not legal advice about your particular project. If a project is high-stakes, check with a lawyer.
Example: a real licence certificate for a track in our showcase.
